Dispensing

After your eye examination, the optometrist will give your results to one of our experienced dispensing opticians or qualified optical assistants.  Our practice team have all trained and qualified with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

Our team aim to create a relaxed and informal environment to go through the following with you:

• We will interpret your prescription and give recommendations and advice on the best optical lenses for you taking into consideration your prescription, lifestyle, hobbies and interests.
• We will spend as long as you need helping you to try on frames and will assess the shape, size, fit and colour. We won't rush you as we understand that choosing a new pair of glasses takes thought and time.
• We will take some measurements, including your pupillary distance, to ensure you achieve the best possible vision through your new lenses.
• We will order your bespoke lenses to your prescription and the measurements taken, and arrange for these lenses to be fitted to your chosen frame. We can also arrange for your new lenses to be fitted to your current frame if you prefer at no additional cost.
• On collection of your glasses, we will carry out any adjustments needed so your frame fits you perfectly and you achieve the best possible vision.
